The Information Required is as follows:

Personal Information by New Clients to be emailed to Helen:  prior to the appointment

The Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) recently announced that all Tax and BAS agents in Australia need to undertake proof of identity verifications for new clients, to reduce the risk of tax and identity fraud

Please email certified copy of Drivers Licence or Passport – for all phone appointments

  2. Tax File Number
  3. Occupation
  4. Full Name
  5. Email Address
  6. Contact Number
  7. Please let us know if you are on a visa and what subclass you have

Please bring the relevant information to the appointment

All other information Required

  1. PAYG Payment Summary from your Employer (Income Tax Statement ) (my gov)
  2. Health Fund Statement if have private health insurance
  3. Details of Interest earnt from any Bank Account
  4. Details of Any dividend received from any shares held
  5. Details of Money spent relating to your job such as Internet, Mobile Phone Calls, Stationery, Car Expenses if you see clients/Suppliers, Subscriptions, Ink Cartridges for printer, Tools of Trade, donations, Last Year’s Tax Agents Fees

         Except for – Normal Clothing and/or entertainment.

  1. If you are not entitled to Medicare Benefits please ensure you have lodged your Medicare Levy Exemption Form with Medicare prior to the appointment.


The information required if you own Investment properties

  1. Rental Summary from Agent (this will also include Agent Fees)
  2. Council rates
  3. Water rates
  4. Insurance
  5. Body Corporate
  6. INTEREST on Loan – very important
  7. Anything associated with the property E.g.: Repair etc
  8. Depreciation Report if you have one
